Convex Skin Barriers – Brief Description:

Convex skin barriers are ostomy products designed with a raised, outward curve (convexity) to help create a secure seal around a stoma, especially for individuals with flush, retracted, or irregular stomas. The convex shape gently pushes against the skin around the stoma, encouraging it to protrude for better drainage into the pouch, reducing leakage and improving wear time.

They come in different levels of convexity (light, medium, deep) and may be available in pre-cut, cut-to-fit, or moldable styles.
