Chemistry Reagent Deionized Water Reagent Grade 100% 1 gal. - ACS grade deionized water meets the specifications for ASTM type I water; it's a general purpose laboratory reagent.
- Limits of impurities: Specific resistance: 18.0 1.0 megaohms/cm; pH 5.0 7.0; ammonia < 0.3 mg/liter; calcium: No precipitate with ammonium oxalate test reagent; carbon dioxide: no precipitate with calcium hydroxide test solution; chloride <0.5 mg/liter; oxidizable substances 0.2 mL KMnO4 in 100 mL of acidified sample is not decolorized after boiling for 5 minutes; sodium < 1.0 ug/liter; sulfate: no precipitate with barium chloride test solution
